In September we went for a long weekend to Paris with my brother Marc, Pippa and our nieces. 
We took the Eurostar which I generally enjoy, but the checking in process at St Pancreas felt a bit like cattle shuffling – and the wifi on board left a lot to be desired!
In Paris, we stayed in Le Marais, one of my favourite areas. Our days were spent walking, cycling, and, of course, we made time for some shopping. We also ate a lot! From breakfasts in beautiful squares to lunches in bistros, followed by such delicious dinners. 
The first evening we ate at Au Top, a super cool restaurant on a rooftop in Le Marais. It was a very warm evening, so it was extra special to be outside.  The food was good… but the service not so much. It took us 40 minutes to be able to order
The following evening we had dinner at Malro, again in Le Marais. This was our favourite of the weekend. Great interiors, cool music and atmosphere, delicious food, friendly service and the people that came there were dressed so fantastically, it’s great for people watching (one of my favourite pastimes!). Pippa and my nieces told me off for staring, but there were so many fantastic outfits.
