Modern Suiting

Classic suiting has had a total refresh. Gone are the days of the 80s-power suit complete with shoulder pads and crafted in retina-searing colours.

For suiting to feel relevant it must be comfortable, light and fluid. Additionally, the strict adherence to the two-piece is long bygone. Meaning, upon purchasing the timeless wardrobe must-have, it’s important to ask yourself:  ‘Can I wear the jacket over my shoulders with a classic LBD? Alternatively, will it work with a white t-shirt and jeans? Can the pants be styled with a sleek black knit?’

Modern suiting is all about durability and wearability. Equally, modern suiting allows you to play around with different silhouettes and endless looks.

Ergo, this season we’ve introduced the Houndstooth suit with micro monochromatic checks. It has been rekindled from bygone days, but with a thoroughly modern refresh.

How we’re wearing it? For a classically corporate approach, we’re embracing it in the two-piece.  With its sleek tailoring and timeless print, it’s immune to becoming outdated. Alternatively, play with proportions and style the blazer with black skinny jeans and a white shirt – a more relaxed but nonetheless chic style for the 9-5. Additionally, for off-duty ease, we’re pairing the trousers with an elevated black tee and leather loafers.

Versatile, timeless, fresh and modern – this is the approach we’re taking to suiting this season.
