Layering Season

‘Tis the season to layer.  Whilst the approach of autumn brings many a thing: wood stove fires, candles, red wine (alas, guilty) and crisp mornings, what does it do to our sartorial repertoire?

Simply, layering. As we bid adieu to warmer climates, the greatest change we embrace in our wardrobe is the ability to layer. Layer a turtleneck under dresses, a crew neck knit over a crisp white shirt, even your favourite 12-month dress can be layered with tights, boots and a sleek blazer.

So, which pieces are integral to a layering wardrobe? Let’s start with these…

The Roll Neck Jumper

Consider: when hasn’t a roll neck jumper looked chic? A cold-winter season staple, style with denim, cigarette pants, leather leggings or even dresses. It's the sartorial answer to the hoary winter question: how to stay warm but simultaneously chic? Our advice? Enrobe yourself in this.

The Hoodie

Elevate off-duty outfits with this essential hoodie. Comfort and chic fuse together in this classic sportsluxe design. How we’re styling it? Over crisp white shirts and denim.

The Turtleneck

In a nod to Parisian chic, the Maria Top is an indisputable wardrobe essential. There’s something so nostalgically timeless about a turtleneck, it’s so easy to incorporate into various outfits. A chameleon, it lends itself to every agenda: weekend? Denim. Work? With a fitted black skirt.

The Biker

And to finish off every layered look? A luxurious leather biker, of course. Now, in a variety of winter tones (Winter Cherry is an in-house favourite), it’s the perfect finishing accent that will immediately streamline a layered look.
