While 2020 has been a year we are keen to leave behind, it has also been good in that, thanks to you, we have made a lot of progress on putting people and the planet central to our purpose. A very big thank you from us in supporting us. Here are some highlights of the progress we together have made

As you may know, it is of paramount importance that we all reduce our carbon output in line with the Paris Agreement for 1.5 degrees in the race to Zero Carbon. With your help we have reduced our carbon emissions by 36% this year and for instance now only use renewable energy across our operations

We have also teamed up with Carbon Footprint to further reduce our carbon output and are now investing in fantastic projects including a hydropower energy plant in Chile, afforestation in the Amazon, a wind power plant in Uruguay, and clean drinking water projects

We hope you will feel proud that we are now one of only a few fashion companies to be completely Carbon Negative across our entire supply chain. Carbon Negative (also known as Climate Positive) means that we create an environmental benefit by removing additional carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

This year we also became a Living-Wage employer and active members of the Fashion Pact, UN Fashion Charter, Sustainable Apparel Coalition and Science-Based Targets Network

Our use of responsible fibres in our collection has jumped from 9% last year to 83% today as verified by the Higg Index. Of course we are working on getting to 100%. We are also completely plastic-free across our operations and a Zero Waste company.

Lastly, while we commit to donating 10% of our profits to charity, for 2020 we have actually donated just shy of 15%.

Thank you again for your support and also thank you to our team and the factories we work with. We will continue to seek improvements in 2021. You can stay up to date with our efforts via our quarterly impact report online.

I wish you all a healthy and happy 2021. And to our key workers, a heartfelt thank you for everything you continue to do for us all.
