Going green can mean anything from recycling your plastic bottles to walking to work. There is a huge spotlight on fashion brands in this new green era, and improving our sustainability is top of our list as we start the decade. So, we’re looking to our fabrics this season, and have delved deeper into our eco-friendly efforts

Our knitted styles have been well loved pieces in our wardrobes for years. They’re cosy, trans-seasonal and our new Luna Jumper comes in a sustainable blend of merino wool and Sustans – a bio-based comfort stretch fibre which uses renewable plant-based ingredients.

The production uses less non-renewable energy sources, reducing greenhouse gas emissions. As well as its eco credentials, the resulting fabric is warm, soft, has enduring stretch and will look and feel like new, wash after wash. When you add that to our non-mulesed, biodegradable merino wool, you get a beautifully luxe and cosy layer that really packs the feel good factor into every fibre.

There’s no wardrobe staple as classic as a cotton tee. Crisp, soft and everlasting, we cannot be without it. So, we thought it apt to create two of our most-loved tees in eco-friendly, organic cotton. With a lower environmental impact, organic cotton uses less water and energy to make, is biodegradable and is still as soft as can be. So, if you’re looking to make some eco changes to your style, the Kendra Organic Top and Iona Organic Tee are perfect to take the place of your basic tees.

Our new lyocell designs are the Lilith Dress, in a classic shirt dress shape, and the Nola Blouse, which features an elegant blouson silhouette. The luxe look of this fabric is great for giving day to night ease and the timeless tones mean that they will be loved year after year.

Lyocell is already familiar to our collections. In the form of the bestselling safari shirts and dresses. Loved for its soft feel and silk like drape, it’s no wonder we keep returning to this hero fabric. Made from wood pulp from sustainable tree farms, its manufacturing process doesn’t release any harmful by-products and the water used is recycled. Plus it’s 100% biodegradable.

Silky soft and with a luxurious drape, our Yoga Top is crafted in modal jersey – a breathable, biodegradable fabric that is made using wood fibres. Its high absorbency and comfort make it the perfect option for our new activewear layer. With a relaxed fit, smooth feel and a sustainable thumbs up, we’re championing this as the star of our sporty picks.
