Baukjen x Great Ormond Street Hospital

At Baukjen, we are always looking for ways to do our bit to give back to the community: from donating 10% of our profits each year to charities, to our enduring commitment to sustainability as part of a circular economy, we believe it is a moral duty to have a positive impact with the work that we do.

Which is where the aptly named Hope Organic Sweatshirt comes in. We’ve partnered with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSH Charity), and we’ll donate 50% of net proceeds from sales of the sweatshirt to this fantastic cause. The Hope Organic Sweatshirt features a knitted rainbow design at the front to honour the fantastic work of the Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) staff in treating seriously ill children from across the UK.

The money raised will support GOSH’s most urgent needs, and could fund pioneering research, state of the art equipment, support services for children and families such as the hospital’s dedicated play team and parent accommodation, and the vital rebuilding and refurbishment of wards and facilities.

We worked closely with GOSH Charity when deciding on a name for the sweatshirt and settled on ‘Hope’ as we believe this truly encapsulates everything that the hospital stands for. We want to continue to spread this message of hope, so to celebrate the launch of the Hope Organic Sweatshirt, we have created the Follow the Rainbow social media campaign.

The rainbow has become a powerful symbol of hope and positivity, and over the past few months it has been shared online, on posters and in the windows of people’s homes to show support for the NHS. We want this to continue, which is why we have created this campaign to encourage you to share photos of yourself to Instagram or Facebook wearing the sweatshirt.

Tag @baukjen and @GOSHCharity in your pictures and use the hashtag #HouseofBaukjen4GOSH so that we can follow the rainbow. We will then be sharing our favourites and using the images to create a Follow the Rainbow collage to show our support for the incredible staff, patients and families of Great Ormond Street Hospital.
